Flux

Trying to develop a style of graffiti. People always complain about the styles of graffiti but they just need to realise there is no wrong in graffiti. Looking at graf helped me understand more about a thing called flow... i.e the rhythm of the work. Any way take a look at www.artcrimes.org its amazing stuff i hope one day i will be able to compete among the greats.

I have no clue whats going on!

I bumped the car to day not badly but still .Things arnt going to well but here is more hands. thinking of looking at biblical work to start getting myself ready to paint the church but i am not sure where life is going to take me or where I'm life is going to end up i hope not the toilet.

a Pompfre

To Take it further i need to obviously draw the body in different positions but the general concept of the character has been resolved. Funny that i chose to draw characters. oh the website http://www.arttattler.com/ is pretty cool!

Hands

I draw allot of hands. For one hands are often found to harder to draw than the rest of the anatomy. But there is something more to hands. For example my one highly intelligent christian friend was explaining to me how hands "freak him out!"

He was standing in church during a service behind an elderly couple. The elderly gentleman placed his hand on top of his wife's hand. So my friend who was taken by the gesture started to think about the motion. He is an artist so he began to thing of the gesture and the position. He then began to think of other gestures and positions and where this old mans hands had been. Eventually my friends over active visual mind caught up with his as he imagined the elderly gentleman's hand holding a piece of toilet paper whipping his bottom. Then the old man fingering his wife.

It was at this point that it was time that peace was offered and the old man turned around to shake my friends hand. My friend was shocked back to reality and refused the mans handshake with a disapproving look.

It draws an interesting line between the cultural differences between the Muslim and Christian world.
Can you guess who this friend is? Any way this hand ain't to good but i will just add more hands as i go along. please ignore the terrible dragon thing at the bottom,,,

Lettie

Here in Africa if you are middle class you have a domestic worker to help you out, who often lives with you.
I guess it is still a running act of colonialism but with unemployment as high as it is i guess it dose provide capital, in our capitalist economy... These woman leave their families and children to look after others.
Its a very confusing world some times.

Our Domestic worker Lettie brought me and my sister up, she also had to daughters one my age one younger. Our parents would slave away every day including weekends and holidays to make something for us. They would always arrive home very late. So Lettie was left to bring us up. The one wish Lettie had for her children was education. She thought it was the most important thing.

Lettie and her Husband Simon who always had time to play with me and i loved dearly passed away from AIDS. Lettie from melongiatis and Simon with his smiling face from TB.

I wanted to draw Lettie yet her face is not as vivid as it used to be which upset me so i just drew by feeling and this is what came out. It made me feel better because in a way in captures her. I guess i drew it with these proportions because i was little when i knew her and all my memories are of looking up.

Laughing To Death! Jack Nicholson

I quickly drew out a few skulls in pen while i was in a video conference lecture to India.
The lecture was presented to us as a Professor Dick Shit i later found out it was Professor Dixit...
I guess with all the foreign accents it is understandable but i just had to keep my self busy because i could
not stop laughing. Later i modeled the skull onto CAD.

I decided that since i was a capable jeweller i should make the skull out of silver and replace it with my cars gear shifter. I then thought the skull must look like Jack Nicholson's skull due to the deep ridge on the nose.
This conclusion was taken from the CAD model not the sketches. So now imagine having  Jack Nicholson's screaming wolf like face, in silver with ruby eyes as your gear shifter!
if i get around to it look out for the post.

Innovatus

A logo i had to make for a group of international master students. The group name is Innovatus, Latin for innovation. I used to be part of this elite group of masters students who are trying to combat the worlds
social needs through ubiquitous technology.... The course was through DELFT university. A really nice university, with focused people. I enjoyed working with such people.
I later drooped out due to financial reasons, not so elite, more broke.

I decided that this logo just wasn't mature. Its funny how one is able to justly undermine their work and render it unwanted.

One Piece inspired Bird

One Piece has had a large influence in me ever since i was small.
This bird was inspired by a bird in One Piece were Luffy the Pirate Captain beats up a man with a God dilemma who lives in the sky. The bird was a was of guiding them to the island in the sky. If you like creativity you should definitely take a look at One Piece. It is also something my personality aligns to, having broken many bones form many fights. I always used to tell my mother and my sister that i fell or slipped in the shower.
